1. Acceptance of Terms
By installing or using the Nico Chrome extension or visiting trynico.io ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Nico is a Chrome extension that provides persistent memory across AI chat platforms (ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini). The Service extracts conversation summaries, stores them securely, and retrieves relevant context to enhance future conversations.
3. Account Registration
You must create an account to use Nico. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
4. Free and Pro Plans
Nico offers a free tier with limited usage and a Pro subscription with expanded limits. Pro is available at $4.99/month or $49.90/year. Prices are subject to change with reasonable notice. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. You can cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe customer portal, and your Pro access will continue until the end of the current billing period.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable laws; attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems; interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service; reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service; use the Service to store or transmit malicious code; or resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without our prior written consent.
6. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Nico and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Your conversation data and memories remain yours — we claim no ownership over the content you store through the Service.
7. Third-Party Platforms
Nico integrates with third-party AI platforms (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini). Your use of those platforms is governed by their respective terms of service. Nico is not affiliated with or endorsed by OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google. We are not responsible for changes those platforms make that may affect Nico's functionality.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. AI-generated summaries and context may not always be accurate.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nico shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months prior to the claim.
10. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service at our sole discretion, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. You may delete your account at any time.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, through the extension. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Nico operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
